Rosalie`s Cucina in Skaneateles

Great food. Very large portion size. Don't fill up on the bread?

We've been visiting Skaneateles for quite a few years and never new about this gem of a restaurant before, which features northern Italian cuisine. The food is excellent as is the service. My veal picatta was excellent as were my husband's seared scallops. Their homemade bread comes in a little round loaf that you break off pieces with your hands and is served with fresh garlic, parmesan, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and spices for dipping. Our dessert was a wonderfully decadent chocolate creation! Fabulous wine selection, too, and creative cocktail list!Many celebrities have dined here, including presidents and vice presidents. Names are signed on the walls in certain spots, creating a neat addition to an upscale restaurant.They have a small bakery in the back where you can buy their fabulous bread, other homemade pastries and sip coffee in their tiny vineyard. Be sure to stop there during the day!This is, by far, the best restaurant in Skaneateles!

It's high end Italian food in a beautiful town. You can't go wrong with anything from the grill - veal chops, filet, ribeye... You're but going to regret a meal here. So good, I had to go back twice in one week.

Great service, good drinks, good food. I especially like the loaves of bread and olive oil in the beginning, and then the banana dessert we ordered at the end. The dinners were good (not amazing), but I have a pretty high expectation for Italian. I think the average person would love it.

The most amazing food I've had in a very long time. Great place for date night.

You won't have a bad meal and the atmosphere is on par with a romantic Italian dinner. We go often and love it, the reason for only 4 star is that I think it lacks a signature dish that is a must have. The type you crave to go back for, but it makes up for it with a well rounded menu.

I really like a restaurant with an open kitchen! It adds to the excitement of the dining experience. All our meals were served timely and hot, not forgetting that they were well presented and absolutely delicious. The staff served all 12 of us expertly and checked on us periodically.I can hardly wait for our next dining adventure at Rosalie's!
